Foo Fighters kicks of the summer 2008!

Its now one year since last festival-season, last year I was interrailing around europe and did not get to see any bands. This year is going to be different.

Last night started the summer season, as well as the festival season for me. Foo Fighters played at the Norwegian festival named Norwegian Wood. With about 8000 people its kind of a small festival, but it was really nice! The festival is heald at  Frognerbadet in Oslo (a public bath), and the main stage is at the bottom of a small hillside, so everyone is standing bellow each other. Good for me since I’m not that tall 🙂

The consert was one of the best I have been to I must say, and Dave Grohl is not dissapointing! He gives it all when he is on the stage, and yesterday the audience gave it all back to him. 🙂

This year I’m going to Øya Festival as well, where I will se: Sigur Rós, Diplo, Turbonegro, Booka Shade, Sonic Youth, Jamie Lidell, Animal Alpha, Konono No 1 and more. Hopefully i will also get tickets for Neil Young in Oslo.

Check out some photos from Norwegian Wood.

Portrait: The fakir

A photo i took during a fakir-show in Oslo. Love the crispness of the flames, and the show was amasing as well, but i was kind of busy taking pictures of it 🙂

Portrait: Afroman from Norway

Another portrait of my friend Marty. Love his style, looks very 70’s. Did some work to get the black & white right on this one, and think the result turned out pretty good. There are more challanges if you want an outside photography to get as good as a studio photography when it comes to lightning, but this evening in the park the light was just perfect.

Taken with my (crappy) EOS 350D and a nice big tele; Canon 70-200mm L-series f2.8. Hope you like it, and its always nice with comments. 😉

Waldorf architecture

Last weekend i was in Sweden (my girlfriend is swedish). We went to a place called Järna, outside Stockholm. This place is kind of the centre of the anthroposophical movement in Sweden og probably scandinavia. I know litte about this, and to be frank dont have much interest in it either. But I found it interesting watching all  the different architecture.

Another Oslo shot

Oslo by night

This is what Oslo can look like by night. This was taken from an old cornsilo (who is now apartments) on the east side of town. Here you can almost get a 360 degree view of town. The view is very beautiful from up there. Sorry for the bad quality on this photo, but i cant fint my .raw files. 😦

The Blockheads

Another exterior photography i took, but some time a go. Worked a little on it in Photoshop, but nothing more than colors and contrasts.

Take a walk.. (part two)

Take a walk.. (part one)

I am not very good at exterior photography, at lest not making it somthing special. I desided to take a walk one night and try to take som pictures that combine somthing that is relatively exteriorish, with some scenery. This is some of the pictures i ended up with.

My-Friend-Music-Marty

Me

Taken for one of my trainee-assignments, one of total 3 pictures in a portrait-series. The rest i have yet not finished working on, but hopefully i will soon, so i can deliver them : )

I chose to take my friend Marty’s music-interests as a theme for the pictures.
